Consider: While energy–with a total of $2.4 billion in 2018 revenue–is the largest industry represented on the list, the fastest-growing industry overall is IT systems development. Combined, ranked companies in that sector grew an average 1,669 percent from 2016 to 2018. Moreover, the industry with the most companies on the list is business products and services, with 25 companies. It’s followed closely by software (22 companies) and advertising and marketing (20).
